Professional Bio

Cerise has lived and professional experience.

She has been in recovery since 2010 and continues to work on her personal development. She understands the physical and psychological nature of addiction and how obsessions and compulsions can manifest in other areas. Cerise has experience working with a diverse group of people at all stages of recovery. She has high empathy skills and a relaxed approach to meeting people where they are.

Cerise has over a decade sharing her lived experience and using her training to help hundreds of people on their journey of recovery. She has experience working in different organizational settings including Addiction treatment, Eating Disorder treatment, Mental Health care and Transitional Housing for women and children fleeing violence. Experienced with Addiction Counselling and Recovery Coaching, her heart is in Recovery Coaching as she sees this to be the most transformative.

June 2023, Cerise took the Still Here Recovery Coach training, she then took their Mentorship training and then became a Mentorship Coach. June 2024, Cerise received her Recovery Coach Professional (RCP) designation through the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR), then started volunteering as a panel member. July 2024, Cerise was awarded the designation of She Recovers Coach through the She Recovers Foundation and now is an Online Facilitator. She is a member of Recovery Coaches Canada (RCC), actively involved in the development of this non-profit organization. Cerise has been a member of Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF), in good standing for years.
