Other Side Recovery Coaching

Is Recovery Coaching For You?

Are you living in constant mental confinement due to substances?

You use substances to alleviate anxiety but now they just create more?

Has your using progressed from casual to necessity or habitual?

Do you try to prevent others from knowing what is going on for you?

Have you been avoiding tasks, people, or responsibilities?

Has your use affected your self-care, your relationships, or your job?

Do you feel you are walking a tight line, trying to control, but being out of control?

Are you averse to support meetings or unable to attend treatment?

Are you in recovery but still feel out of control, like the ball is about to drop?

Are you in recovery, averse to support meetings but still needing support?

Are you in recovery but feel bored, misaligned in your life purpose or misunderstood?

Is there a feeling of being stuck and not knowing where to turn?

Most importantly are you ready for change?

Is Recovery Coaching For You?
"A person can be just one relationship, circumstance or decision away from a change in course, whether good or bad."
Addiction

Deciding whether you have an addiction or an addictive personality is a question only you can answer. You have to discover this yourself. The mind of addiction wants to tell us that we don't have a problem! But it is sneaky and progressive, causing havoc if ignored. You don’t have to hit bottom to find recovery.

Addiction and loneliness are intertwined, exacerbating one another. It may not start out that way, but as addiction progresses, it is known to live in isolation. Reasons include:

  • Shame and guilt around usage
  • Anxiety, stress and losing grip on reality
  • Fear of letting anyone know what is actually going on
  • Coping by shutting out the world
  • Preoccupation with using and getting substances becomes one's primary focus - they cannot be present for anything else

“Addiction Lives In Isolation. Recovery Thrives In Connection!”

It makes sense then that connection is critical to initiate and sustain recovery.

“You alone can do it, but you can't do it alone.”
